WHAT IS A SURF INSTRUCTOR?

It takes much more than an obsession for riding waves to become a surf instructor (though admittedly we are passionate about what we teach….).

Falmouth Surf School’s coaches are all BSA qualified.

What does that mean?

Well first of all, before any qualifications are taken we must complete a recognized UK Beach Lifeguard training course that is renewed every two years. This proves us qualified and competent lifesavers and ensures that we are fit, knowledgeable and responsible individuals as well as First Aid trained to the required standard.

		In order to call ourselves BSA (British Surfing Association) approved we undertake BSA surf coach training programmes as well.These qualifications, coupled with the beach awareness and years of surfing experience that our instructors possess ensures that your time spent with us is 100% safe for you or your family, and all you have to worry about is catching your next wave…!
